Light of Love Fellowship
A Bible-based, Christ-centered, Spirit-filled Fellowship of Believers
About Jacque:
Jacque is the Discovering Recovery
Outreach team leader. She is an elder and
one of the founding members of LOLF.
Jacque has over 5 years of sobriety
from alcohol and drug abuse. Jacque was
raised in a Christian home and dedicated
her heart to the Lord at a young age. Although she remained active in her church and youth group for several years, her addiction eventually pulled her away from God. One day her addictions brought her to her knees at the edge of a busy road and she prayed for help. The next day she decided to seek treatment. She did an extensive treatment program specifically designed for healthcare professionals before returning to St Louis. Early in her recovery when she began searching for her "Higher Power" Jacque began questioning if she believed in Jesus or was her belief in Him just
something that she had been taught. After much prayer and soul searching she determined that her Higher Power was in fact Jesus. She became immersed in church and various 12 step programs, but she developed a desire to bring Jesus and the 12 steps together in an environment that was open to everyone. (GLBTS) Discovering Recovery Outreach was started! She is regularly involved with traditional 12 step groups and has completed recovery training courses. Through the help of Jesus and the twelve steps she continues to work as a registered pharmacist. She and her wife Marie are also proud parents of their daughter Hannah.
About the Program:
Discovering Recovery Outreach is a fellowship of men and women who have been affected either directly or indirectly by addictions, compulsions or co-dependency. They come together to support and encourage one another in recovery through Jesus Christ and the traditional 12-steps of recovery.
The fellowship is open to anyone having a desire to stay clean and sober, a desire to overcome any compulsive behavior, or a desire to learn healthier coping mechanisms.
We use The Bible as our guide to spiritual principles and the 12 steps as the practical application of these spiritual principles as we strive to encourage and support each other in recovery
by sharing
our
experience,
strength
and hope.
