PEOPLE – PLACES – THINGS

METHUSELAH – A son of Enoch (Genesis 5:21) and Noah's Grandfather.  He lived to be 969 years old (Genesis 5:27), the longest life span recorded in the Bible.

PHILIP – A name shared by one of the disciples and an early church leader.  Jesus invited the first Philip to follow Him, and Philip brought along a friend named Nathanael (John 1:43-51).  Both men became Jesus' disciples.  This Philip once brought a group of Gentiles to see Jesus when He was in Jerusalem (John 12:20-22).  The other Philip was chosen to help the twelve apostles in the church at Jerusalem (Acts 6:1-7). He was said to be honest, wise and "full of the Holy Ghost" (Acts 6:3).

Please remember to save those cans and other metal for our recycling fundraiser.  This money goes directly into the Sunday School fund.  If you have cans or metal at home,  feel free to bring them in to Ryan for storage.

Also remember to bring in those old laptops, cell phones, camcorders, etc. for our electronics recycling program.  There is a basket on the table in the Fellowship Hall to collect these items.  Let Ryan know If you have any questions.

Hello Light of Love Fellowship! Well we are well into August which is a transitioning time for most of us. It's a time that vacations begin to come to an end and school begins again.  I pray that everyone has had a wonderful and enjoyable summer thus far. Jesus truly has continued to keep HIS hand upon all of us here at LOLF. We are starting our new youth group this month, which is really exciting news!  I believe it's always good to hear new things starting up for the glory of the Lord.  I encourage you ALL to invite someone to church or one of our activities because that’s how the church grows; by us being fishers of men. In Christ's Love and in His service - Pastor Lenny

DISCOVERING RECOVERY OUTREACH

We have launched our new 12-Step Recovery Program; Discovering Recovery Outreach.  It is a fellowship of men and women who have been affected either directly or indirectly by addictions, compulsions or co-dependency who come together to support and encourage one another in recovery through Jesus Christ and traditional 12-steps of recovery.  The fellowship is open to anyone having a desire to stay clean and sober, a desire to eliminate pain caused by others' addictions, a desire to overcome any compulsive behavior, or a desire to learn healthier coping mechanisms.  We use The Bible as our guide to spiritual principles and the 12 steps as the practical application of these spiritual principles as we strive to encourage and support each other in recovery by sharing our experience, strength and hope.

Meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM.

Youth Group -> Light of Love Fellowship has started a Youth Group for youth ages 10-18.  This group will meet once a month for a bible study or Christian discussion and then go to a fun activitiy.   The first activity will be bowling on August 7th.  Refer to the Upcoming Events page for more information about this activity and future activities.

Snacks are available in the Fellowship Hall for $.50 each.  The money raised goes into the general fund to help the church operate.  If you're able, pick up something on your way out to snack on later.  If you are interested in selling any of the snacks at your work, please let Ryan know.

Light of Love Fellowship had its first baptism in July.  Congratulations to all of those who were baptized in Jesus' name!
