Salvation

Light of Love Fellowship believes there is only one factor that will separate someone from the Father; which is not accepting His son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

John 3:16-18:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

If you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior its as easy as your ABC's.

A - Admit you are a sinner.

B - Believe Jesus came for you, Died for you, and rose again for you.

C - Confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord over your life.

Romans 10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

THATS IT! Freely Given to be Freely Received!

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the infallible, divinely inspired, written Word of God.  It is a revelation from God to the world that conveys the true knowledge of God.  Proper interpretation must take into account the sacred writer’s intentions, use of language, style and context.  (2 Timothy 3:15-17, Hebrews 4:12
God
There is only one God. (Deuteronomy 6:4)  He has revealed Himself as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior) and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
The Father
God is a Spirit. (John 4:24) He is the Eternal One, the Creator of all things and the Father of all humanity by creation.  He is the First and the Last, and beside Him there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6)  There was no God formed before Him; neither shall be there any after Him. (Isaiah 43:10)
The Son
Jesus is the Son of God according to the flesh (Romans 1:3 ) and the very God Himself according to the Spirit. (Matthew 1:23 )  Jesus Himself testified of His identity as God when He said, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:7-11 ) and “I and my Father are one.” (John 10:30 )
The Holy Ghost
The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God.  The Holy Ghost indwells in the hearts and lives of everyone who believes and obeys the gospel.  (John 14:16)

Sin

We believe that all people have sinned and are in need of salvation.  (Romans 3:23)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is freely offered to all. We do not believe that salvation is contingent on ones race, gender, age or sexual orientation. Therefore all that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!  And YES, you CAN be Gay and Saved!

(John 3:16, Romans 10:9-11, Rev. 22:17)

Baptism

We believe that water baptism is an ordinance given by our Lord to the Church.  We believe baptism in the name of Jesus, which is the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost is an outward symbol that the individual truly belongs to God.  We further believe that total immersion in water is the mode of baptism practiced in the New Testament, hence is the proper mode to be practiced by the Church. (Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 3:16)

Manifestations of the Holy Ghost

Prayer Language:

We believe that speaking in tongues is speaking miraculously in a heavenly or earthly language unknown to the speaker as the Spirit gives utterance.  “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.” (Romans 8:26)

Gift of Tongues:

We believe that the gift of tongues, with the interpretation, is for the edification of the Church. (I Corinthians 14)

Holiness

We believe that true holiness is the character and nature of God in us.  Holiness is a place where the individual and God are in agreement together about what is righteous and what is sin.  Holiness is generally not an instant occurrence, but is a transformation of the mind that takes place throughout one’s life.  No one can obtain holiness by their own power, but only through the Holy Spirit.  (Ephesians 4:28, I Thessalonians 4:7)

Righteousness

We believe righteousness is the outward manifestation of the inward change that has taken place in a person’s heart. (Romans 3:22, 2 Peter 1:1)

Healing

We believe that healing for the mind, body and spirit is available for all creation.  Healing was made possible by the stripes that our Lord Jesus Christ bore for us.  (Isaiah 53:5) We believe in anointing the sick and the laying on of hands. (James 5:14) We believe Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.  (Hebrews 13:8

Communion

We believe that taking communion is the time that believers remember the death and resurrection of Jesus, which is the New Covenant between God and His people.  His blood provides salvation and His broken body provides healing.  We eat and drink at this meal to remember our Lord’s death and celebrate our Lord’s Resurrection.  “Do it all in remembrance of Me.” (Matthew 26:26-28, I Corinthians 11:26-29)

Responsible Sexuality

We believe that all Christians (no matter their sexual orientation) are called to live out their sexuality in a biblical manner; that celibacy or marriage is the biblical principle.  (Titus 1:5; 2:11-12; Colossians 3:17; Ephesians 2:11-22; I Peter 2:11; Acts 15:20

Marriage

The biblical principal for marriage is a ceremonial consecration performed by an ordained minister or judge between two consenting unrelated adults (no matter their sexual orientation) that wish to make a loving commitment to one another for life before God and witnesses.  (Hebrews 13:4, Acts 15:20)

Second Coming of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is coming back to earth in bodily form, just as He went away. (Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Judgment & Resurrection

We believe that there will be a resurrection of all the dead, both just and unjust.  “Marvel not this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:28-29)
